CfE planning in science

February 1, 2011 7 comments

The following embedded sequence overview is a sample for a sub-topic within the new CfE Materials topic includes E&Os from all three key areas that are responsibility of all teachers – though these could vary depending on your choice of activities. I’d be interested to hear if you think that we’re heading in the right direction and in your ideas for improvement too.

Not for this topic but gives ideas for pupil work

After exploring planning formats with teacher trainees, I have modified the above embedded template to use for sequence overviews. Supplementary plans with specific learning objectives would be detailed in more traditional lesson plans (which I could share either of you’re interested – just let me know).

Lesson Planning on the Web | Teachers TV

Great advice on how to target web surfing for lesson planning so that time is used effectively. Examples given are for primary science lesson but advice is relevant to all subjects. Reference is made to the National Curriculum for England but again general advice applies to any system.
